While we've seen a few lengthy trailers for Death Stranding, the overall plot of the forthcoming Hideo Kojima game still remains shrouded in mystery, but soon anxious fans will have even more footage to pore over.

According to Geoff Keighley, who will be hosting the opening event for Gamescom, Kojima will debut an "exclusive new look" at Death Stranding during the upcoming gaming trade fair on August 19.

There are currently no details on what this exclusive look will consist of, but with the game set to be released in just a few months, there's a good chance that the preview will be something substantial. However, whether this means we'll see a new trailer or more gameplay remains to be seen.

Death Stranding will launch exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on November 8, 2019 and boasts an impressive cast that includes Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Mads Mikkelsen and Margaret Qualley.
