Many expected Sony to fully reveal their next-generation console during CES 2020. However, Sony only revealed the PlayStation 5's official logo during the event. It's quite simple but still went down controversially —

PlayStation isn't intending to come to E3 2020 — not even Xbox thinks PlayStation will be there.
These reports led many to speculate that the PlayStation 5 could be revealed during a State of Play livestream that Sony would host alongside or near E3 — similar to what they did last year. However, another PlayStation event will be taking place even sooner than that and many think it could feature the full reveal of Sony's next-generation console.
Taking place in New York City at Sony Square, Experience PlayStation is an event that will run from January 14th to February 16th. You read that right; the event will reportedly go on for just over an entire month's time.
"Celebrate 25 Years of Play with a collection of titles on PS4 and PS VR," reads
Sony's announcement on their website.
Industry insiders

Ahmad followed up this notion with assurance that something would soon be announced to do with that — and here we are. It seems that the full reveal of the PlayStation 5 is finally right around the corner.
