Ghost of Tsushima was first unveiled during the Paris Games Week in 2017, and it has been one of the most highly anticipated titles ever since. Players have been impatiently waiting for Sucker Punch's latest game to release, and the good news is that the wait is almost over.
That's right, Sucker Punch's long-awaited Ghost of Tsushima will finally become available worldwide, as a PlayStation 4 exclusive, this Friday the 17th of July, and there are actually quite a few things for players to get excited over the soon-to-be-released title.
Ghost of Tsushima will see players taking the role of honourable samurai named Jin Sakai, who finds himself in the middle of a Mongol invasion that would change him forever, and and explore the vast, and beautifully realised island of Tsushima, Japan.
Besides the story, however, it is Sucker Punch's past experience that has players excited about the upcoming title, and Ghost of Tsushima looks like it will be one of the better-looking games on the PlayStation 4 — and the bar isn't low, with other titles like The Last of Us Part II on the platform.
Now that we are only a mere four days away from the game's release, PlayStation and Sucker Punch have shared one final trailer for Ghost of Tsushima, which sees Jin making the difficult decision to betray the samurai code, and taking matters into his own hands to help stop the Mongol invasion.
As a reminder, pre-orders for Ghost of Tsushima are currently open via PlayStation's official website, which you can visit by clicking right here.
Take a look:
In 1274, the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the Japanese island of Tsushima and slaughters its legendary samurai defenders. Jin Sakai is one of the last survivors of a noble samurai clan. To combat his overwhelming foes, he must pioneer deadly new fighting techniques--the way of The Ghost--and wage an unconventional war for the people of Japan.
Ghost of Tsushima is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on Friday the 17th of July.
