Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima is the last Triple-A title to be released for the PlayStation 4, and fans have been highly anticipating the release of what may end up being one of the console's best exclusive titles. The best news is that the game is a bit over a week away from finally becoming available worldwide.
While players still need to wait until Friday the 17th of July for Ghost of Tsushima to be released, new information has revealed that the game will be needing a day-one update, and it seems like it is actually quite massive.
As reported by Twisted Voxel, the physical copy of Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima will require an additional 500MB in order to get the Update 1.02 up and running — yes, as the file's name implies, this is the second day-one update the game will be getting — bumping up the game file to 8GB.
Likewise, those players who choose to purchase Ghost of Tsushima digitally will need to make some room for the game, as this update will make the full game a whopping 50GB in size. For those of you wondering, the patch note reads "Various Localization Fixes".
Given that this update will fix some localisation issues, it is very likely that Sucker Punch has addressed Ghost of Tsushima's dodgy translation spotted by Japanese speakers. Whatever the case, it is great to see them addressing the issue at all; fans deserve a top quality product, and Sucker Punch always delivers.
In 1274, the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the Japanese island of Tsushima and slaughters its legendary samurai defenders. Jin Sakai is one of the last survivors of a noble samurai clan. To combat his overwhelming foes, he must pioneer deadly new fighting techniques--the way of The Ghost--and wage an unconventional war for the people of Japan.
Ghost of Tsushima is expected to release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on Friday the 17th of July.
