MARVEL's Avengers was first announced in January of 2017, and it immediately had fans of the Earth's Mightiest heroes anticipting the release. The good news is that the wait is almost over, as the game will finally become available this Friday the 4th of September; with next-gen versions of the game confirmed to release at a later date.
This year, Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics have been revealing ab unch of infomration about the upcoming title, so there are quite a few things for players to look forward to. In fact, we know that new characters will be released after the game's launch.
On top of this, the developers have also confirmed that they plan to support MARVEL's Avengers, by releasing even more content, for years to come — which is particularly exciting, since it seems that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix really want to build a universe here.
While the game is finally becoming available in a few more days, some players have already had the chance to try out the beta, which has given them access to a couple of missions that do a pretty fine job giving everyone a better idea of what to expect from this ambitious title.
Square Enix has recently revealed that the MARVEL's Avengers beta that was released on PlayStation 4, in particular, has managed to become the most-downloaded beta in PlayStation's history; calling it "a heroic achievement," and congratulating the development team at Crystal Dynamics.
Considering that Spider-Man has been confirmed to be a PlayStation exclusive character, to the dismay of many, it wouldn't be surprising to see MARVEL's Avengers also selling better than on other platforms, but we'll have to keep waiting for more information after the game's highly anticipated release.
