Given that Michel Ancel is currently working on his long-awaited
Beyond Good and Evil 2 with the team at Ubisoft Montpellier, many fans of
WILD, a game that was announced a good while before Ubisoft revealed the Ancel-directed sequel at E3 2017, have been wondering about that game’s future.
As a reminder, Sony filed a new trademark for
WILD just a month ago, which was the first update on the survival title in ages, confirming that this PlayStation 4-only game is still in the works. In a recent interview with La Tribune, Céline Tellier co-founder and director of Wild Sheep Studio, has revealed new details on its current status – suggesting that it may very well be a PlayStation 5 launch title.
According to La Tribune,
WILD will be exclusive to Sony console
s, most probably PS4 and PS5 as a cross-platform release, just like
The Last of Us and
Contrast. The small game developer is also planning to hire 50 new developers who will help the team in bringing Ancel's original vision of the title to life.
In
WILD, the player will be forced to experiment with their surroundings in their quest for survival as a simple plant could just as easily save their life – or bring about a swift death. Check it out down below:
