Completely remade from the groun up, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Ryu Ga Gotokou's Yakuza 2—which originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. The remake version of the game will be coming out for the PlayStation 4 on the 28th of August.

While Yakuza Kiwami 2 will pretty much be the same game, some elements have been added and some cutscenes have been polished. Thanks to the Dragon engine used in Yakuza 6, Yakuza Kiwami 2(as well as its prequel Yakuza Kiwami) look clean and sharp like a proper title for this generation of consoles.

The new trailer for Yakuza Kiwami 2 focuses on Kiryu's forbidden romance with polie inspecto Kaoru Sayama, both seemingly coming from two completely different worlds—hinting that Kaoru may be hiding more than she's letting Kiryu know.

Check it out:

It's been a full year since Kazuma Kiryu took his leave from the world of the yakuza during the events of Yakuza Kiwami. Fate, however, has other things in mind for the legendary Dragon of Dojima, and Kiryu finds himself back on the front lines of a potential all-out war.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is coming out, exclusively for the PlayStation 4, on the 28th of August.
