One More Video Game Starring RATCHET & CLANK Might Still Be Headed To PlayStation 4

Insomniac Games might be working on a sequel to the excellent reboot of the Ratchet & Clank franchise from 2016 right now, meaning that one more game with the titular heroes could still be coming to PS4...

Although Focus Features' 2016 movie adaptation of Ratchet & Clank straight tanked at the global box office (earning roughly $9 million with a $20 million production budget), Insomniac Games' reboot of the series that accompanied the release of the animated flick was not only critically acclaimed (currently sitting at an 85% score on Metacritic), but also the studio's most successful title at the time.

While many fans are expecting Insomniac to make a sequel to their take on Spider-Man, former IGN and Kinda Funny Editor Colin Moriarty revealed during a recent episode of his Knockback podcast that we "haven’t seen the last of Ratchet & Clank on the PS4.″ That statement suggests that Insomniac (or any other game developer) has been working on a new R&C title that is still coming to PlayStation 4.

Taking into account Moriarty's late revelations on Twitter (he also reported that there is a “substantial” PlayStation 4 exclusive from a second party developer that has yet to be announced), there's a rather big chance that a new entry in the Ratchet & Clank game series might be headed to the system.

At the time of writing, Sony had not revealed any plans to make a new Ratchet & Clank video game.
