At long last, Sony has announced that PlayStation 5 news is imminent. While Microsoft has been detailing the Xbox Series X for months now, Sony are yet to even unveil their console. Thus far, we're only familiar with the next-generation console's logo as well as a couple of confirmed and rumoured features.
Thankfully, tomorrow will see Sony put on a show in which lead system architect Mark Cerny will break down what makes the PlayStation 5 tick. It's said that they will go in depth regarding the console's system architecture and also how the PlayStation 5 will define the future of gaming (via @PlayStation).
We can only assume that Sony will stream this presentation from PlayStation's official YouTube channel — akin to their State of Play presentations. The stream will go live on Wednesday, March 18th at 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET. Should you not be able to tune in; we will be sure to report on all of the new and interesting information that's revealed during the presentation.
Had GDC not been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic; it's said that this presentation is what Sony would have shown at the Game Developers Conference that would have taken place this week.
