After murdering nearly every creature and being in Greek mythology, the developers of 2018's God of War had to choose another mythos to explore. Ultimately the creatives behind the game would choose Norse mythology, but past interviews with the developers have revealed that they considered a number of different options.
One of the strongest candidates, according to the devs, was Egyptian mythology. The crew's interest in exploring Egypt was - or is - so strong that director Cory Balrog still thinks it's a possible setting for future games.
But even though it may be a while before we see a God of War title that tackles Egyptian myths, we now have some concept art that reveals what the acclaimed game would have looked like if Kratos' latest adventure was set in Egypt.
