At this point, anyone who hasn't heard of Santa Monica's amazing
God of War has probably been living under a rock for the past four or so years. The game has been praised to no end for its amazing story, proper gameplay mechanics, beautiful graphics, fantastic soundtrack, and overall quality of the game.
All of the hard work that the people over at Santa Monica Studio has put into
God of War has paid off, pretty much since the game's launch on the 20th of April last year, with the game receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and fans of the series, and even managing to win Game of the Year at last year's The Game Awards.
Santa Monica Studio has recently released a new trailer that shows off some of the over 190 Game of the Year awards
God of War has received, worldwide, in the span of one year since the game's original launch. Our hats are off to you, Santa Monica Studio.
Take a look:
His vengeance against the Gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive…And teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series—satisfying combat; breathtaking scale; and a powerful narrative—and fuses them anew.
God of War is currently available for the PlayStation 4.
