Sony Entertainment Interactive and Santa Monica Studio's new
God of War was released almost exactly a year ago, exclusively for the PlayStation 4, becoming the best entry int he
God of War series, as well as the best game of the year according to The Game Awards and pretty much everyone who's got the chance to play the game.
The developers focused on delivering a heartfelt story while still throwing in as much Norse mythology lore into the game, while also managing to make Kratos a relatable and likeable character; something that previous entries in the series didn't quite manage to do.
It wasn't just the fantastic story and chatacter arcs that made this title a great game, but the music and sound design as a whole that brought the world within the game to life, and this brand-new behind the scenes video for Santa Monica's acclaimed action-adventure game focuses on the sound of
God of War.
Take a look:
His vengeance against the Gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse Gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive…And teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series—satisfying combat; breathtaking scale; and a powerful narrative—and fuses them anew.
God of War is currently available for the PlayStation 4.
