There's still about three months until
The Last of Us Part II releases. The upcoming and highly anticipated game is a sequel to the similarly titled and acclaimed one that originally debuted back in 2013. Joel and Ellie are back! This time around, it seems that you predominantly plays as Ellie — if not entirely.
Speaking of the fan-favourite character; Ellie features in an awesome, new dynamic theme for the PlayStation 4. It's available as of today and is unique in that it changes based on the time of day. There are two different modes for this dynamic theme — a light and dark one.
The former is a serene scene in which Ellie leans up against a tree whilst playing a guitar, the latter is quite the opposite and pretty scary — Ellie can be seen up against a tree, this time hiding from encroaching enemies and wielding a machete rather than a musical instrument.
If you want the dynamic theme and you're located in America, you'll have to redeem this code in the PlayStation Store:
4FMP-BBNM-J5L3. If you're situated in Europe or elsewhere, you'll have to input this code:
9DEK-PKNG-N445.
After doing a bit of experimenting, we've come to the conclusion that the background displays the peaceful scene up until 5pm — and the ominous, dark one after that. You can get a look at the dynamic theme by checking out the image below (courtesy of
Push Square):
Five years after their dangerous journey across the post-pandemic United States, Ellie and Joel have settled down in Jackson, Wyoming. Living amongst a thriving community of survivors has allowed them peace and stability, despite the constant threat of the infected and other, more desperate survivors. When a violent event disrupts that peace, Ellie embarks on a relentless journey to carry out justice and find closure. As she hunts those responsible one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.
The Last of Us Part II will release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on May 29th, 2020.
