Demon's Souls' servers have been shut down at the end of February and caused a massive backlash among the fans of the first installment of the Souls franchise. But the fans don't give up and are trying hard to revive the network and let the players enjoy the full Demon's Souls experience. The skilled users use private servers which are already working and the whole project is in the testing phase.

The programmers had been analyzing the way the servers worked and discovered an algorithm that let them to write their own script that works perfectly fine with the basic code. The first servers are available for testing and every player who has troubles with beating the game alone can ask a friend for help with the Old Monk. To enter the multiplayer mode you'll need a copy of Souls and PlayStation 3.

All you have to do in the console menu is change the servers settings and choose the automatic option, move on to the DNS options, choose "Manual" and use this IP address - 212.71.239.147. Just save the changes and voilà - From Software's Demon's Souls is back in all its hardcore glory.
