In an interesting bit of news, it seems Insomniac Games has opted to remove a little easter egg in MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered; one that made allusion to Crystal Dynamics' MARVEL's Avengers.

MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered is only a day away from finally hitting store shelves, but media outlets have already had access to the game for reviewing purposes. Insomniac Games did a phenomenal job with the first game, and it is likely that the remaster will also be well-received.

While this remastered version of Insomniac Games' critically acclaimed MARVEL's Spider-Man will give players the same experience in terms of story and content, the developers have upped the resolution and framerate in order to deliver an even more polished video gaming experience.

As far as we are all concerned, MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered is the exact same game, albeit with a few enhancements; or that's what we have all been led to believe, as new information reveals that there may be some very small changes made to the game.

KindaFunnyGames' Greg Miller was able to spot something quite interesting while playing MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered, as he realised that a small line of dialogue that alluded to Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics' MARVEL's Avengers has now been removed by Insomniac Games.

Originally, when taking a picture of Avengers tower in MARVEL's Spider-Man, Peter would make a comment about the Avengers and how they are never around, specifically suggesting that they could be probably be on the West Coast.

This is an easter egg that does, indeed, make allusion to MARVEL's Avengers, as Peter suggests that they could be on the West Coast, and in Crystal Dynamics' somewhat controversial game the AVengers are actually in San Francisco.

The original line of dialogue read "Avengers Tower, so cool! Too bad hey're never around to use it. They're on the West Coast or something. Probably surfing," and in MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered Peter stops right after he mentions that the Avengers are never around to use it.

At the time of the release of MARVEL's Spider-Man back in 2018, fans were quick to make the connection between Insomniac Games and Crystal Dynamics' games, but this was never officially confirmed by neither of the studios. Things got even more interesting when it was revealed that Spider-Man would be added to the PlayStation version of MARVEL's Avengers, but Crystal Dynamics made it clear that this will be their own take on the superhero.

Could it be that by removing the reference this has finally been confirmed? Is removing this line of dialogue in order to prevent fans from making a connection that doesn't exist? We'll have to patiently wait and see which Spider-Man is the one that Crystal Dynamics' will be introducing in MARVEL's Avengers.

Sony Interactive Entertainment, Insomniac Games, and Marvel have teamed up to create an authentic Spider-Man adventure. This isn’t the Spider-Man you’ve met or ever seen before. This is an experienced Peter Parker who’s more masterful at fighting big crime in Marvel's New York. At the same time, he’s struggling to balance his chaotic personal life and career while the fate of millions of New Yorkers rest upon his shoulders.

MARVEL's Spider-Man is currently available for the PlayStation 4.

MARVEL's Spider-Man Remastered will release for the PlayStation 5 on Thursday the 12th of November.
