FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE Demo File Size, Duration & Other Details Have Leaked Online

The demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake will take up 22.5GB on your console and be about an hour in length. Hit the jump to find out more leaked details...

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released precisely two months — on March 3rd. Many leaks have suggested that a demo will be released prior to the game's launch and none more so than this new one.

A full playthrough of the demo for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake surfaced on YouTube and revealed roughly how much space it will take up of your console's storage, long it will take to beat as well as what it consists of.

First of all, the demo will be 22.5GB and take about an hour to beat — that's a pretty hefty file size and duration for a simple demo. You'll play as Cloud and join Barrett as he attempts to blow up one of Shinra's power plants. It's the first bombing run and concludes with the Guard Scorpion boss fight.

Surprisingly, Square Enix is yet to take action against the videos which means that they're still available to watch over on YouTube. However, the publisher is yet to announce an official release date for the demo nor the demo itself.

It's also worth mentioning that some information and screenshots pertaining to spoilers and story changes have also surfaced online. So, be aware if you'd like to avoid such things.

In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from March 3rd, 2020.
