Last month, a plethora of video games were delayed. Such games as Marvel's Avengers, Cyberpunk 2077, and Dying Light 2 had their release date's pushed back — indefinitely in the latter's case.

Among the delayed games was also Final Fantasy VII Remake. The long-awaited remake of the classic game from 1997 was originally meant to release on March 3rd for the PlayStation 4 but will now become available a month later — on April 10th. Find out more about the game's delay here.

Back in December, it was reported that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4 — that is to say that it will only be exclusively available for Sony's console for an certain amount of time. At that, it was confirmed that it would be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 for an entire year.

Unfortunately, this is still the case even after the game's delay. The game's box art has been updated to reflect the delay. It now says that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive until April 10th, 2021 — as opposed to the previous date of March 3rd, 2021. As for what other platforms the highly anticipated game will be coming to, that information is still yet to be confirmed.

In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor.
