Techland released Dying Light to the world back in 2015 — for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The first-person open-world game saw you assume the role of a survivor amidst a zombie apocalypse. You must use your wits, parkour abilities, and melee combat to survive the undead hordes as well as the even more terrifying creatures of the night.

Dying Light 2 was announced during E3 2018. It seemed as if Techland was trying to replicate core aspects of the first instalment whilst adding new features such as branching story paths and the ability to affect the world around you. Comparatively, it seemed quite ambitious.

Techland recently announced (via @DyingLightGame) that Dying Light 2 has been delayed indefinitely. That is to say that it will no longer release within Q2 2020 but rather at some point in the future — an unspecified date that's probably a long ways away.

With all the recently delayed games, it's important to keep in mind that renowned quote by Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto; a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.
