After keeping their fans waiting for such a long time, Square Enix has finally released a brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated
Final Fantasy VII Remake — which shows off some bits of the story, as well as some new gameplay.
The
Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced during the PlayStation Experience back in 2015, and it's almost 4 years later and we still haven't had much information regarding the project or even if the game is still scheduled to release for this generation of consoles.
Thankfully, it seems that the game will indeed be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, although Square Enix has still to reveal a release date for the game, but they did promise that more information will be revealed in June; most likely during the E3, where we'll hopefully get an official release date.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the new trailer for
Final Fantasy VII Remake down below:
In Midgar, a city controlled by the mega-conglomerate Shinra Inc., the No. 1 Mako Reactor has been blown up by a rebel group, AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE was secretly formed to wage a rebellion against Shinra Inc., an organisation which is absorbing Mako energy, destroying the natural resources of the planet. Cloud, a former member of Shinra's elite combat force, SOLDIER, was involved with the bombing of the Mako Reactor. Can Cloud and AVALANCHE protect the planet from the huge, formidable enemy, Shinra Inc.?
Final Fantasy VII Remake still hasn't been given a release date but will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
