The Xbox One retail version of Ninja Theory's indie AAA game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will hit stores on December 4th, 2018. The title will be published by Microsoft, which shouldn’t be surprising as the giant from Redmond announced the acquisition on Ninjas during E3 2018. The PlayStation 4 owners won't be left behind, as 505 Games announced today Hellblade's PS4 retail version.
What's even better, both editions will be available on the same day. Since its release, Hellblade: Senue Sacrifice has received an universal praise from critics and players alike for its unique and groundbreaking depiction of psychosis in video games. The title's main protagonist, Senua, suffers from a curse that makes her embark on a dangerous journey filled with horror, blood and pure madness.
According to director Tameem Antoniades, the game sold "better than expected" and broke even in approximately three months, ahead of the six to nine months the developers expected. The title ultimately sold over one million copies around the world and it's not Senua's last word, as the retail version will surely boost the sales and let Ninja Theory develop even more compelling stories.
