Sony's State of Play will return this Thursday, at 3:00pm PST – but before we dive into the newly released details, there are two possibly bad news: the stream won't feature any updates related to PlayStation 5 and the show itself will be a rather short one – running only for around 10 minutes.
According to Sony, the upcoming event will be focused on two things: a yet-to-be-announced game and the
MediEvil remake. When it comes that first title, it's rather safe to say that it won't be anything major, as the announcement of
Iron Man VR was hands-down the biggest news of the latest SoP.
As for
MediEvil, the next State would a great opportunity to reveal the PS4-exclusive game's official release date – as we already know that it's coming out in 2019. Given that Other Ocean Interactive's remake of the original PS1 classic won't be showcased at E3 2019 – as Sony is skipping this year’s show for unknown reasons – Thursday's State may be the studio's best shot at presenting the title.
The next State of Play will be live streamed on Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. Take a look:
MediEvil follows the story of Sir Dan, an unlikely champion who met an unfortunate end on the field of battle. He receives a chance at redemption when his nemesis, the evil sorcerer Lord Zarok, accidentally resurrects him 100 years after that fateful day. Lord Zarok seeks to conquer the Kingdom of Gallowmere, and only the skeletal Sir Dan stands between Zarok’s army of the undead and the kingdom he swore to protect.
MediEvil is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2019.
