Each and every month, PlayStation introduce a new set of games that those who are subscribed to their premium service — PlayStation Plus — can get their hands on for free (beyond the price of their initial subscription, of course). For instance, both Sonic Forces and Shadow of the Colossus are currently available for free on PlayStation 4.
Those two games were March's free PlayStation Plus games — but what about April? Well, PlayStation has officially announced that both DiRT Rally 2.0 and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be available for free to PlayStation Plus subscribers this month. Fittingly, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection was available for free with PlayStation Plus just a couple of months ago.
DiRT Rally 2.0 is a racing game developed by Codemasters wherein players compete in rallies across the world, on both tarmac, off-road, and under varying weather conditions. While you wouldn't think it based on the title; DiRT Rally 2.0 is the thirteenth entry in the Colin McRae Rally video game series — and the seventh to feature the "DiRT" name.
Less confusingly; Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the fourth instalment in Naughty Dog's iconic video game series. It's a third-person action-adventure game in which you play as Nathan Drake. Longing to return to a life of treasure hunting, Drake is pulled out of his mundane retirement by the reemergence of his estranged brother Samuel.
Both of these titles will become available for free on April 7th and remain as such until May 4th — wherein they will be replaced by a new pair of free games. According to actor Tom Holland, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is the game which the upcoming movie adaptation will be most predominantly based on — find out more on that here.
