Considering that Hulu's Hitman TV series was announced back in November 2017, it's quite hocking that we still know next to nothing about Hollywood's third attempt at adapting the IO Interactive-created game series. As a reminder, the first Hitman movie hit theaters in 2007 to a universally negative critical reception, with 2015's Hitman: Agent 47 miraculously getting even worse reviews.
In a recent interview with Discussing Film, Derek Kolstad, one of the masterminds behind the John Wick franchise and the writer of its third entry, titled John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, is also currently working on Hulu's Hitman. According to Kolstad, the first two episodes of the TV series will a "political thriller murder mystery," inspired by Sydney Pollack's cult classic Three Days of the Condor.
Kolstad also revealed that more announcements regarding the Hitman show will be coming shortly.
IO Interactive's Hitman games tell the story of the enigmatic Agent 47 and his deadly quest to eliminate the covert International Contract Agency's most notable targets from the vast criminal underworld.
