With everything that has been transpiring over the past year, it is easy to forget what entertains us and keeps us distracted from the crazy world around us. Even more so, with no new content coming out in the world, society has found its entertainment through other outlets (at least until Hollywood gets back to a steady schedule). One of the shows that have fallen victim to this is the Halo franchise's upcoming live-action adaption.
Coming out on Showtime, the new series is the first time that that the seires has ever gotten a TV show treatment, even though there have been countless attempts to bring it to life in the past. With current game developer 343 Industries helping to oversee the series and distribution through Showtime and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment, the new series plans to spare no expense in bringing an authentic retelling of the story.
Since not much has been shown of the filming, a surprise post from actor Pablo Schreiber (who will play Master Chief in the new series ) was revealed on his Instagram featuring the iconic Master Chief helmet...well, half of it at least! While the costume reveals very little, the mold of the piece can lead fans to believe that the Chief's suit will not only be game accurate but have some fun on-screen flair that will make the suit pop on screen.
News on projects being filmed may be sparse due to COVID-19, but the people behind making these projects are very devoted to creating the best material possible. That is why no matter how long the wait will be, Halo looks like it will be a very exciting adaption of the games. We would love to hear your thoughts on the picture or the show in the comments below!
Halo is set to follow "an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Halo will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future."
