During Microsoft's conference at E3 2018, the next instalment in the
Halo franchise was revealed to the world. A new rumour from an alleged industry insider (via
DSOG) claims that we'll be finding out a bunch more about
Halo Infinite at this year's E3 event.
The poster appeared to reveal a ton of information about Microsoft's plans for months to come. This includes their E3 plans and spans multiple upcoming titles. It's basically a given that
Halo Infinite will be shown off at this year's E3, with a brand new trailer, but the post doesn't stop there.
According to this rumour, Microsoft is currently targeting a "Holiday 2020," release for
Halo Infinite. The title will apparently be one which spans multiple generations of Xbox, those of course being the Xbox One and its yet-to-be-revealed successor (as well as PC). Apparently, all of this information will be officially revealed during Microsoft's coming conference, which is said to feature a massive info dump for the game.
This all seems quite plausible. As mentioned, it's pretty obvious that
Halo Infinite will show up at E3 with a new trailer. Given how long the game has been in development, a release in the latter half of 2020 would make sense. The only thing that doesn't hold up is that, surely if the game will be releasing during the holiday season of next year, why would we be getting an info dump about the game at this year's E3 rather than next years?
