Jeff Rubenstein presents an exciting array of stuff coming to Xbox One. Today's presentation provides some details on the reveal event for Shadow of The Tomb raider. Jeff spoke with the game's Narrative Director Jason Dozois and Lead Game Designer Heath Smith.
The interviews revealed intriguing clues about the games direction. Apparently, Lara's power has grown quite a bit since we last saw her; this has motivated certain adjustments to the gaming experience. For instance, puzzle solving within the tombs is much more than a cerebral challenge; the team has attempted to make the process more terrifying than players are accustomed to. In addition, rappelling and wall running has been altered significantly. Finally, the narrative will be somewhat darker than previous instalments as our heroine is put to the test.
Details on the latest Xbox update includes the option to output at 1440p resolution. There is also a share controller feature for mixer, an option to share captured screenshots and clips directly to Twitter, variable light and dark themes based on light and day, an update to the Microsoft Edge Browser, Tournaments in Game Hubs and the ability to balance game audio and background music within the guide.
