When Fallout 76 released in 2018, the excitement was palpable for a fully multiplayer experience set in the world of Fallout; however, once the game started to hit shelves, things were far from perfect and negative backlash for how pre-orders and the game itself were being handled nearly shut everything down entirely. Fast forward two years later, and it seems that the game has finally found its place in the world of online games and hasn't really made any negative waves since.
That being said, the game has been enjoying a steady flow of updates and season to keep the quality of life up, and because of that, each update has slowly but surely been improving on what the core game was at launch. Now, next month will feature a brand new DLC titled "Steel Dawn" that will be entirely free for players!
The new DLC features a ton of new characters and a story that focuses on the Brotherhood of Steel and how they will affect the world of Fallout 76. A new trailer began streaming for the update that gives a more in-depth look at what to expect and the powerful force that is the Brotherhood of Steel. The update will feature new areas to explore, items and armor, and the ability to establish a personal shelter.
A season 15 update will also be coming in mid-December that promises to add even more gameplay improvements. There is a lot coming in the new updates that fans are sure to love, and newcomers may be able to enjoy as well. It is set in an alternate history, and takes place in 2102, twenty-five years after a nuclear war that devastated the Earth. The player character is a resident of Vault 76, a fallout shelter that was built in West Virginia to house America's best and brightest minds.
