There's a chance you still remember
Dark Sector, the very first game that was announced for the last generation of consoles. What you probably don't know, is that
Warframe is what
Dark Sector was supposed to be from the very beginning, before Digital Extremes' controversial decision to directly compete with
Gears of War and put heavy emphasis on the TPS cover system & shooting mechanics.
Warframe is a cooperative free-to-play third person online action game set in an evolving sci-fi world - the
Dark Sector universe. Digital Extremes has released a brand new trailer for
Fortuna,
Warframe's latest (and completely free) update that introduces the underground city of Fortuna, where you’ll meet the Solaris: a society of body-augmented individuals who live in debt-internment under Corpus rule.
In the bigger
Warframe universe, the Corpus are a conglomeration of plutocratic commercial and industrial interests unified by a single trade language and a common goal - the acquisition and trading of ancient technologies and Warframes.
Fortuna also delivers enhanced ways to mine and fish, new enemy units, bounties and locations. Be sure to learn more about
Fortuna in the launch trailer below:
They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun – masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the Old War were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.
Warframe: Fortuna is available NOW on PC, coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch "soon."
