As we turn the calendar page from March to April, Microsoft has announced next month's lineup of Xbox Games with Gold. As per usual, Xbox LIVE Gold members will receive four new free games - two on Xbox One and two on Xbox 360 (that are also playable on Xbox One via backward compatibility). Like March, April's GWG contains a nice assortment of free titles that span a variety of genres, including puzzle-solving, action-adventure, and kids.
Kicking things off in April will be
The Witness, an incredible puzzle game from the brilliant mind of Jonathan Blow.
The Witness was released in 2016, but if you haven't yet played it and are a fan of puzzle games, this is definitely worth downloading.
The Witness will be available for download during the entire month of April.
Starting April 16th, Gold members can also download
Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the ninth major installment in Ubisoft's
Assassin's Creed series, and the successor to 2014's
Assassin's Creed Unity. The game is set in Victorian era London and follows twin assassins Jacob and Evie Frye as they navigate the corridors of organized crime, and take back the city from Templar control.
Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be available from April 16th through May 15th.
Available from April 1st through April 15 on Xbox 360 (and playable on Xbox One) will be
Cars 2: The Video Game, an action-racing title based on the popular Pixar franchise. Then on April 16th, Xbox Gold members can download
Dead Space 2, a science fiction survival horror video game developed by Visceral Games.
