As you can see, in terms of numbers, it's not even close. There are currently 15 exclusive titles for the Xbox One releasing in 2017, compared to the 65 for the PS4. However is this a case of quality vs quanity. Upon closer examination, the number of AAA exclusives for each console is relatively even, with the PS4 simply blowing away the Xbone in terms of indy titles.
In terms of this past year's PAX and Gamescom vidoe game conventions, a lot of hype was generated for Scalebound and Sea of Thieves so there's definitely a lot of upcoming releases to look forward to from Microsoft. Not to mention, there are a ton of AAA multiplatform releases coming for both consoles that should keep even the most dedicated gamer busy for the full calendar year. We'll be taking a look at those next.
