The current generation of consoles is finally coming to an end, as both Sony and Microsoft gear up to release their next-gen consoles to the world within the first weeks of November, and fans of both companies can barely contain their excitement to see what the soon-to-be-released platforms will have to offer.
Microsoft announced this morning that players who purchase either the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S will have access to 30 fully optimised games that will take full advantage of what the new hardware is capable of. What's more, Microsoft confirms that 20 of these titles will be available via Smart Delivery.
Unfortunately, the company hasn't revealed what will be optimised, so players will have to find out for themselves in which way it is that the games, that will listed below, will benefit from the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S' next-gen hardware.
"When you power on your Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S on November 10, you will be greeted by the largest launch lineup in Xbox history," explained Xbox Wire Editor in Chief Will Tuttle. Microsoft also states that Cyberpunk 2077 will both look and play best on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, so there's just one more reason to be excited for the release of CD Projekt RED's most ambitious game, and one more reason to play the highly anticipated title on Xbox consoles.
"When Cyberpunk 2077 launches on November 19 it will look and play best on our next gen consoles and take advantage of Smart Delivery technology giving fans the best version for whatever Xbox console you own," revealed Microsoft.
So there you have it, a pretty solid lineup of games that will be available for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on launch day, and will be fully optimised for players to enjoy once Microsoft's next-gen consoles finally hit store shelves on Tuesday the 10th of November.
