We have some good news and some bad news for you today. While work on Showtime's live-action Halo TV series continues in earnest, some big changes have been made today.
For starters, Otto Bathurst has replaced Rupert Wyatt as the show's director and executive producer. He'll actually helm multiple episodes of the first season and while that was initially slated for ten episodes, it's since been cut down to nine after the writers mapped out the season and broke down the stories accordingly.
Bathurst is best known for directing the critically panned Robin Hood movie from last year as well as episodes of Peaky Blinders and Black Mirror.
Wyatt left last year due to scheduling conflicts and that was yet another bump in the road for the long-delayed live-action adaptation. Things now appear to be getting back on track but whether or not this behind the scenes change is a good thing is hard to say. We'll keep you guys updated.
