As a proper Azure Striker Gunvolt series' spin-off, Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX picks up right were the story in the second game left off; this time with anti-hero Copen as the game's main protagonist.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX was announced last year in May, and it's been quite a long time since we had any news about the game. In fact, at the time of the announcement, Inti Creates hadn't even revealed when the game was supposed to come out; that is, until now.

Today, Inti Creates has finally released an official trailer for Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX that introduces us to the game's main characters, as well as its main gameplay mechanics; which are pretty similar to those found in both titiles in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series.

Inti Creates has also revealed the official release date for the game, and PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam players will finally be able to play Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX when it releases on the 26th of September.

Since its inception, the Gunvolt series has become known among fans for its high-speed, stylish 2D action. This game will see series rival/anti-hero Copen take the lead and push the series’ speed and intensity to the next level, all the while keeping the game accessible to new fans.

Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX will release for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam on the 26th of September.
