Back in January, developer Gears for Breakfast finally confirmed that A Hat in Time — their critically acclaimed 3D platformer — was going to be making its way into the Nintendo Switch at some yet-to-be-determined date in 2019.

A Hat in Time was even briefly showcased during a Japanese Nintendo Direct in February, although — for some odd reason — we didn't get the chance to see it in action during the North American Nintendo Direct that was streamed at the very same time.

While we still haven't seen a proper trailer for A Hat in Time for the Nintendo Switch, Gears for Breakfast has finally revealed that the game will finally be releasing on the 18th of October, and that the game will be incorporating — for the first time ever — local fullscreen co-op gameplay.

A Hat in Time for the Nintendo Switch will also be including the "Seal the Deal" downloadable content — initially exclusive for the PC version of the game — which will be adding a new chapter with challenges, bonus levels, and more.

A Hat in Time is a cute-as-heck 3D platformer featuring a little girl who stitches hats for wicked powers! Freely explore giant worlds and recover Time Pieces to travel to new heights!

A Hat in Time will be releasing for the Nintendo Switch on the 18th of October.
