Pokémon GO Trainers have been spoiled during the fourth quarter of 2018. Niantic has continuously been throwing Events and adding special bonuses and new features - begging players old and new to return to the game. With the recent addition of Trainer Battles, players have much more incentive to play. Of all the things that have been added though, one of the most exciting is when Niantic decided it was time to introduce the creatures from the fourth Generation of the
Pokémon franchise - the Sinnoh Region.
The creatures from the Sinnoh Region were first introduced in the fourth Generation
Pokémon core game titles -
Diamond and
Pearl. These games the Sinnoh Region replace the classic Kanto Region recognizable by gamers from back in
Red and
Blue.
Despite everything Niantic may be distracting players with, such as non-stop events and additions to the game, they are still slipping Gen 4 creatures into the mix. In fact, there are fresh faces here for the holiday, and we thought we should give you a heads up before you find yourself shocked at unknown silouhettes!
Obviously, December is cold, and this means that naturally we can expect to see Ice
Pokémon like never before in Niantic's augmented reality game. Apparently Jynx, Spheal, Swinub, Snorunt, Sneasel, and Snover will be the icy spawns this season. Shiny delibird will also be popping, but we already reported that news a few days ago.
Snover, the last name on the list is one of the new Sinnoh
Pokémon to be added, along with his evolution, Abomasnow. Besides them the holiday will also bring Croagunk and Toxicroak though they aren't ice. Shorupi, Drapion, Bronzor, and Bronzong round out the list as appearing in the game as well. Players with a Sneasel can evolve it using 100 Candy and a Sinnoh Stone to recieve Weavile, another Ice Pokémon who hails from the Sinnoh Region. If you don't have the candy, now's the time to grab it.
On top of all of this, there are also new holiday items in the shop that can be purchased, including Delibird themed clothing. There is also a new santa hat Pikachu family that you can collect! Will you be catching them all this Christmas?
