If you are a regular player in Pokemon Go, then you may have noticed that Niantic began rolling out a new feature last week called Adventure Sync. This is a long-overdue implement into the game which allows trainers to preserve battery life as well as data charges.
See, with Adventure Sync, trainers are able to hatch eggs as well as collect buddy candies - even when the game isn't running. This is a step up even from the Pokemon Go Plus accessories that were available for trainers to purchase in the past, as there is much to be gained as your steps are counted and you receive rewards for milestones.
Niantic Labs new feature takes a different approach than it once did by either tapping into Google Health or Apple Fit, whichever your phone's fitness-tracking software happens to be, rather than using location data to track distance which has been Pokemon Go's solution since it's launch in July of 2016, more than two years ago.
Now, if some of you are worried because you don't have the feature, then there are a couple of things that you should know. First of all, the feature hasn't been made available to all trainers just yet, it is slowly being released to players over level five. Secondly, if you do have the feature, you still need to enter your settings and switch it to on in order for it to keep track for you.
This should come as a happy surprise to trainers as Generation IV recently launched which includes the likes of new Baby Pokemon - such as Budew, who launched this week. In addition, the double Stardust week continues and Saturday's Cyndaquil Commuinty Day event is just around the corner, so get out there and put those trackers to good use!
