Nintendo is one of, if not the biggest, game creators in the world right now, creating franchises such as Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda. One of the biggest franchises that have grown more into its own entity has been Pokemon.
A series revolving around capturing, training, and competing monsters against other trainers. While the concept is simple, it has branched off into a massive empire of trading cards, anime, manga, and collectibles. Once the franchise made it into the mobile gaming world with Pokemon GO, everything changed.
When the development company Niantic launched Pokemon GO, the mobile gaming world changed. Giving players the chance to interact with others, and Pokemon, in the digital world; the game contains tons of events to allow for players always to have something new and exciting to experience.
One of its most recent events has been the Dragon Week event, which was forced to be cut short earlier this month due to technical difficulties. However, now the event will return this weekend, and while there will be no featured Pokemon in the wild, there will still be Timed Research and slightly changed tasks. Will you be participating? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
Pokémon Go is a free smartphone app that combines gaming with the real world. The game uses location tracking and mapping technology to create an 'augmented reality' where players catch and train Pokémon characters in real locations.
Pokemon GO's Dragon Week will begin on August 21st at 8 am and end on August 26th at 10 pm local time!
