Pokémon is one of the most popular Anime series to ever be released. In the past two decades, tons of successful franchises such as video games, trading cards, merchandise, and the highly popular mobile game,
Pokémon GO. Add to that that fans can look forward to an upcoming live action film in
Detective Pikachu, and it is rather easy to see how the Pocket Monsters dominate the entertainment industry across multiple generations.
Although the series initially released 20 years ago,
Pokémon remains strong, with fans continuing to tune in. This is probably because while
Pokémon continues to bring in younger fans, it also manages to keep some of it's older fans as well. One example is that in this particular season of
Pokémon, viewers get to spend more time with Ash and Brock where it all began - their home region of Kanto. This is the region that most players are familiar with, as it was the first to be introduced both in the game series and the show - and also was the focus of the recent Nintendo Switch Release:
Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and
Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!
Pokémon is a global phenomenon that has spread worldwide over the past two decades, and has now become an unstoppable force that connects generations through community events. Now, with the release of this six-disc collection in just a couple of weeks, it won't be long until fans can enjoy the 47 latest episodes with their children in english or with subtitles - however they prefer.
