Legendary Pokémon are some of the most powerful and therefore sought after Pokémon in existence and they have been around since the very beginning, starting with Mewtwo and the Legendary Birds - Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres - way back in Generation One. Eagle eyed fans will remember that the Anime series even showed Ho-Oh long before we knew about the Johto Region it belongs to.
Generation 2 brought the Legendary Dogs and it was so on for Generations to come, and since
Pokémon Go is currently focusing on integrating Generation 4 Pokémon, it makes sense that it's Cresselia's turn. Giratina already appeared, after all, and he is another Legendary from the Sinnoh Region.
Cresselia is a Pshychic Type Legendary Pokémon that began appearing as a Level 5 Raid Boss only this month, giving Trainers the chance to capture one now because it will stop appearing after December 18. No one is able to do it without help, however, as Cresselia is incredibly strong much like all Legendary Pokémon and therefore requires a collective team to beat the creature. If you have trouble, try using a team of Dark, Bug, and Ghost types to even the odds.
Once you claim victory over Cresselia with your team of Trainers, whether they be Team Valor, Mystic or Instinct, you will have an opportunity to catch it but you can only use the premier balls you earn post-battle. It will still be incredibly difficult to capture as you will
only be able to use the balls that you earn, and Legendary Pokémon are the toughest to catch.
Cresselia will be leaving us in a week, flying off on
December 18. Do you have one yet?
