Niantic, Inc. has just released a short trailer advertising the newest feature in their hit mobile game, Pokémon GO, on its official YouTube page:
It looks as if this new update brings a new flavor to their last big update which introduced trading about a month ago. They don't shed light on the beginnings of this special trait, but if trainers trade pokémon with their friends, there's a small chance they come with the 'Lucky' trait.
This trait allows said pokémon to require less stardust, as well as candy, to power them up, making it quite valuable in gaining stronger monsters at a much more efficient cost. This trait can also be tracked in the Pokédex, as well as the Pokémon having the title, "Lucky Pokemon," under its name (as seen below):
Included in this update, gifts that are given to friendly trainers also give XP, as well as gifts opened by trainers have a small chance at rewarding Stardust.
Pokémon GO is an augmented reality mobile free-to-play adaptation of the popular series by the same name created by
The Pokémon Company, originally for the Nintendo Gameboy. The game is out now for iOS and Android devices.
