Game Freak and Nintendo's hit Nintendo Switch game has been brought over to mobile devices today. This is another free-to-play title coming straight from one of the biggest game developers, and it feels like the perfect time to bring another Pokémon game to mobile, while it's other free-to-play mobile title, Pokémon GO, is at it's all-time peak in players since 2016.
Pokémon Quest, which garnered more than a million downloads in two days, is looking at probably higher numbers adjusted to both the iOS and Android markets. While the look of the game harks back to Minecraft and other classic voxel games, the gameplay pits players and three of their Pokémon through short time-based adventures to get loot and treasure, a perfect mix for mobile gaming. There's also recipes that are used to create the player's world, in order to attract more monsters to them as well, bringing in a new play dynamic to the Pokémon world.
Pokémon Quest is out now for free on the Apple iOS App Store and on Google Play.
