Trainers who regularly play Niantic's hit mobile game
Pokémon Go are very familiar with the concept of Field Research tasks. These tasks can require any number of things to be done, and they offer up a bevy of rewards to the players in return.
There is no limit to the amount of Field Research tasks that trainers can perform each day, but only the first task of the day goes towards the week. If a trainer gets seven stamps in a row, they earn a special week reward - and this month that reward is none other than the beautiful Ice-type Generation I creature, Lapras.
Lapras has a shiny form available so that will be something to look out for, but fans will be really excited to know that the Lapras that come from these Field Research rewards can come with up to two possible Legacy moves - Ice Shard and Ice Beam, both of which make this creature a competitve contender in PVP play - something that will become increasingly popular in the coming months with Niantic's updates.
Below we have listed the full list of Field Reseach opportunities for the month of January along with their respective rewards. As you can see, rare encounters such as Scyther, Chansey, and Aerodactyl are amongst the possible earnings, along with chances to grab Stardust, Rare Candies, Ultra Balls, Golden Raspberries and much more. Check it out for yourself!
