It is not an overstatement to say that Warner Bros. and Legendary's
Detective Pikachu live-action film is one of the most anticipated movies this year; even managing to rival Marvel Studios' highly anticipated
Avengers: Endgame. And rightfully so, since they have managed to capture all of the elements that have made the Pokémon series so popular.
With both fantastic trailers that Warner Bros. released for the Rob Letterman directed
Detective Pikachu movie, they won over both long-time fans and newcomers to the series. All of this thanks to how faithfully they've depicted the world of Pokémon.
Ryan Reynolds being cast as the
Detective Pikachu character sure is something that had a few people sratching their heads at first, but once that first trailer dropped all doubters were convinced that he was the right guy to play Pikachu.
Today, Reynolds himself has released a brand-new TV spot for
Detective Pikachu, which contains a bunch of new footage that hasn't been shown in neither of the previous trailers.
Take a look:
The first-ever live-action Pokémon movie, “POKÉMON Detective Pikachu” stars Ryan Reynolds as the titular character in the first-ever live-action movie based on the iconic face of the global Pokémon brand—one of the world’s most popular, multi-generation entertainment properties and most successful media franchises of all time.
Detective Pikachu will release in theatres on the 10th of May in 2019.
