GTA 6 Trailer #2 Release Rumored For Early April, According To Insiders

A new report from gaming industry veterans claims that the next trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released by Rockstar in early April.

When it comes to Grand Theft Auto 6, there are two major questions fans still have: when will it be released and when will we see a new trailer? With a release window slated for Fall 2025, a new trailer will likely answer that first question.

It's been well over a year since the first trailer for GTA 6 was shared, and fans have been patiently waiting for another look at Rockstar's blockbuster game ever since. We thought we would see one back in December on the anniversary of the first trailer, but it was radio silence.

With the game's release date edging closer and closer, it's only a matter of time now before Rockstar shares Trailer #2. In fact, we may only be weeks away.

According to new claims from GTA VI O'Clock, which is hosted by veteran games journalist Dan Dawkins and executive producer James Jarvis, the second trailer for GTA 6 will be released in early April. The two industry veterans, who are involved with the Future Games Show and the Golden Joystick Awards, recently predicted Rockstar's marketing timeline for GTA 6, mapping it against key media beats for the GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 campaigns.

Assuming Rockstar follows a similar timeline, they are predicted Trailer #2 for early April, possibly even late March. This will be followed by a five to six month marketing campaign leading up to the game's launch in October or November of this year.

"There are all sorts of caveats and 'acts of god' that could impact this, of course. Not least a delay," the pair cautioned. "Nothing suggests that will be the case - right now - but caveat emptor etc."

In their recent newsletter, the pair also cited a "credible" source aligned with an April release for Trailer #2. They write:

We receive a lot of emails from people claiming to be insiders and this historical marketing pattern chimes with one of our more credible tip offs (which was more definitive in tipping April for Trailer 2). To paraphrase Nobel laureate Eugene Fama (in relation to the stock market), the past does not predict the future, but we are talking about a more controlled, tried-and-tested promotion strategy, potentially executed by a core group of the same Rockstar employees.

Of course, this is not confirmed by any means. Rockstar doesn't comment on any rumors or speculation, so treat this as such. We've seen and heard plenty of speculation regarding Grand Theft Auto 6, but we all know Rockstar likes to keep us on our toes. For what it's worth though, Rockstar parent company Take-Two has reiterated numerous times that GTA 6 is on track to release this Fall, although copany CEO Strauss Zelnick did note that "there's always the risk of slippage."

Grand Theft Auto 6 figures to be the biggest release of the year with analysts estimating it to sell over 40 million copies and generate $3.2 billion in sales in the first year alone.
