It's been almost a decade since the initial release of Grand Theft Auto V, and now, Grand Theft Auto VI seems right around the corner.
Last month, a multitude of developmental footage and assets from the highly-anticipated third-person shooter leaked online. However, Rockstar Games assured fans that the tremendous leak hasn't delayed development.
A reputable Rockstar Games insider by the name of Tez2 recently took to the GTAForums to reveal their own leak (via Charlie INTEL). According to this leaker, Rockstar Games planned to end an upcoming Grand Theft Auto Online Halloween event with an announcement pertaining to Grand Theft Auto VI.
It's said that, beginning on October 15th, UFOs will begin to appear around the Grand Theft Auto Online map and ultimately culminate with the appearance of the unique UFO that has been hovering over Fort Zancudo since 2013 on October 23rd.
Players had speculated that something to do with Grand Theft Auto VI and UFOs was on the cards, as a photograph was discovered in the Lil' Probe'Inn location in GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition which depicts a house in Vice City, the setting of Grand Theft Auto VI, with a UFO sat atop it.
Tez2 later clarified that the aforementioned leak may have delayed the intended announcement. Therefore, we should all temper their expectations for the finale of the upcoming event — but our fingers are certainly crossed.
