One of the most exciting reveals to come out of this year's Games Awards was the first trailer for Death Stranding. The fact that Hannibal alum Mads Mikkelsen is set to star in the title (which likely won't be with us until 2019 at the earliest) is obviously also very exciting, and he has now started opening up about his role in the game and what it's like working with Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima.
Unsurprisingly, it turns out that, like the rest of us, he really isn't too sure what Death Stranding is about at this stage. "I mean, you know (Kojima). He's a very brilliant man. I mean ... the stuff he told me? I only understood some of it. There was a lot of (mimes being baffled) 'What?' I have to see it before I understand. Because with Death Stranding, he's creating something completely new."
As for what drew him to working with the video game creator, the actor added: "Kojima is a master. He's the Kasparov of video games. He's such a visionary person. [Working on a video game] was just something I'd never crossed before, so it was a wonderful opportunity to dive into that world." Mikkelsen refused to reveal any more details, but his definitely comments have us more excited!
