Spidersaurs is a brand-new game developed and published by WayForward, which has become available just today for the Apple Arcade service; Apple's new game subscription service for iOS and macOS devices that has also become available today.

The team that developed Spidersaurs is, actually, the very same team that worked on Contra 4 for the Nintendo DS; something that is quite apparent once you check out the launch trailer that WayForward released for Spidersaurs.

Described as a run-'n'-gun Saturday-morning-style action game, Spidersaurs' eye-popping art style — something that has become WayForward's staple — and 80s inspired music really makes us feel like watching one of those classic Saturday morning cartoons from the 80s.

Check it out:

The Spidersaurs - the tangy food source with a bite - are biting back! It's up to punk-rocker Victoria and officer-in-training Adrian to run, jump, and shoot their way through multiple levels of over-the-top, high-octane mayhem. Using a variety of weapons and special Spidersaur powers that you gain along the way, only you can navigate the INGESTCorp facility and put a stop to the mindless army of mutant monsters.

Spidersaurs is available for the Apple Arcade today.
