The Wolf Among Us released across 2013 and 2014 and, in true Telltale Games fashion, is an interactive episodic series. Players assume the role of Bigby Wolf, the sherriff of Fabletown — a clandestine community of fantastical fairy tale creatures housed within 1980s New York City — and must investigate a series of mysterious murders.
Based on the comic book series of the same name by Bill Willingham, the series has a particular cult following, so much so that Telltale Games have paused, halted, and reannounced development of a second season of The Wolf Among Us since 2014. Most recently, a revival was announced at The Game Awards in 2019.
Shortly after that, Telltale Games clarified that the game wouldn't be seeing the light of day until after 2020; and we haven't heard much of anything about The Wolf Among Us 2 since. That is, until now. The Game Awards 2021 recently passed which marks the two year anniversary of the revival's announcement and yet The Wolf Among Us 2 was entirely absent from the event.
Thankfully, Telltale Games have provided an update (via Comicbook.com) on the development of the upcoming interactive series for any fans who are still out there holding out hope. Based on their statement, it seems that we'll be hearing a lot more about The Wolf Among Us 2 soon. Here's hoping.
Back in December of 2019, we revealed The Wolf Among Us 2 going into pre-production. The team is hard at work, but you may have noticed we did not have anything new to say about it for The Game Awards. We know that you, our fans, have been incredibly patient and supportive. We also know that you've got a BUNCH of questions about what's happening at Telltale (and in Fabletown) – we see them every day in social media. Good news is that we will be able to answer some of your questions soon...
