A former employee of the now defunct game studio Telltale Games recently spoke, under anonymity, with Eurogamer. The ex-employee stated during the interview that he believes the long-awaited second season of The Wolf Among Us would never have seen the light of day - regardless of whether Telltale stayed afloat or not.
According to the employee, the game had a "shoestring" budget and the studio were constantly cutting corners during its production. Apparently the development was so bad, "even by Telltale standards," that the five-episode season was eventually cut down to just three episodes.
Despite the first season of The Wolf Among Us releasing in 2013, apparently the second season never made it out of early development in which the studio had simply mustered up concept art, a basic map of possible narrative directions, and the first episode's script.
What do you think of the former employee's statements? Were you looking forward to the second season of The Wolf Among Us?
