Earlier today, Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku surprised fans of the Yakuza series by revealing that the seventh entry in the critically acclaimed series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, will be launching at a yet-to-be-determined date in November for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Windows 10, Steam).
The developers also revealed that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be releasing for the Xbox Series X as a launch title, which is actually quite the pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we still don't know when the game will become available for the PlayStation 5.
The biggest news shared today, however, was the reveal of the actors that will be providing their voices for the English dub of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. To the pleasant surprise of many, one of the actors playing a character is none other than renowned actor George Takei.
Takei will be voicing a character named Masumi Arakawa — a supporting character that will be a mentor figure to Yakuza: Like a Dragon main protagonist Ichiban Kasuga. On that same note, Ichiban Ksuga was revealed to be voiced by Kaiji Tang.
Piggybacking off today's announcement, Sega and Ryū ga Gotoku have released a behind the scenes video for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, which sees legendary actor George Takei revealing some information about the character that he will be playing in the game.
